Event: Easter 2013
 

orienteering race (Easter Prologue) 36:58 [4] *** 4.26 km (8:41 / km) +100m 7:46 / km
shoes: Pegasus

Long Course (nominal 3.6km) - Easter prologue at La Trobe Uni, Bendigo

mild panic at the start when I could find #1 on the map, but not the start triangle, even though was I was standing there by that time - ran 100m the wrong way before I realised my mistake, & then had to go back via the Start triangle.

After that the run flowed reasonably well, with a few wobbles & slow patches reading detail, until #19 when I couldn't read detail in gloom under building & had to go into open to read map so I could relocate.

Forerunner 10 GPS sample rate not fast enough to show all of the twists & turns, even at my speed, and didn't pick up all of the detail under the buildings
