slow walk along Hunter St with tinytoes, reminiscing, after a very pleasant evening at the Victoria Theatre.
Note: the theatre was built in 1890, and used for live theatre and then cinema until mid 1960s, the a few years as a jean shop, before being left for the squatters and pigeons till about 3 years ago. The company that owns the Enmore in Newtown bought it, with the intention of re-opening it as a live venue and cinema - tonight was the first time in 50 years that there has been an audience in the auditorium. Still hell of a lot to do, but the work by everyone involved has been incredible.
