Orienteering race 15:14 [5] 3.0 km (5:05 / km)
shoes: Nike Free 5.0 (red)

Park final at Dudley Public school. Bit of a disappointing run for me, very hesitant in the buildings and tired way too quickly out in the open. Rob took out the trophy by a good 45 secs, maybe 20 secs could be brought back off that if it wasn't for fencegate but still a convincing win. Good to see him finally turning form into results ;)
As for me, I'm lacking speed badly at the moment and there's not much I can do about it before Melbourne next weekend. Expecting to have a tough time.

Training at Heart Rate Hills with Nic and Rob. Pretty warm but I felt alright running. A bit scrappy through controls 3, 4 and 5. Got tired a bit too quickly at the physical end of the course. Still have a bit of a sniffly nose!!

Orienteering race 22:05 [5] 5.14 km (4:18 / km)

Park o at Jesmond. Still sniffly! Hopefully a rest tomorrow will cure me. Struggled a bit physically today and made a couple of errors, including overrunning #7 and bad route choice to #17. At 17 I thought I needed to get up the embankment early but that wasn't the case. Lost 15 secs on Rob there, and he got me by 11 secs.

Final will be interesting. 2.6km course at a school a bit different to the qualifiers. Can Rob continue to convert #formintoresults and become the 6th park tour winner??

Running intervals 52:00 [3] 8.19 km (6:21 / km)
shoes: Nike Free 5.0 (red)

Ints at the track with Nic and Sal. We did 4 x 400, 200, 200 with a min recovery. I did an extra 2 x 200 at the end but couldn't manage another 400. Still a bit of a cold hanging around! I feel fine but definitely notice it when I'm putting in effort. Managed to have another nosebleed at the end too :(
