NOY 7 at Heart Rate Hills. distance is course distance as didn't wear my watch. had a bit of a funny pre start when i got there and realised i didn't have any cash. so turned around and went to toronto for money. then as i was on my way to the start a girl asked me if i could drive her car out. so i did that for her and only made my start time by 5 secs.

started out pretty well. rolled my ankle a bit on the way to #4 so a little bit slower for that leg. legs burning on the climb out of #6 but that was just the beginning. had a tangle with a vine on the way to #13 and have some nice scratches to show for that. bit of a miss to #15 then extra cautious through the last 3 as didn't want to blow it like i did at Belford. pretty happy with result and time. Fairly sure thats the NOY wrapped up for another year!

newy parkrun. disappointed to be 5 secs slower than last week. started well and took the lead, then was surprised as i opened a gap. felt good doing so but my split at halfway wasn't any quicker than previous weeks. thought i might be able to fare better in the second half but that was where i was 5 secs slower, and wasn't able to put up much of fight when i got passed. ended up 2nd. the day i ran 17:16 seems a long time ago now..

hills at king edward. warm up, 8 x hill reps up the gully, warm down. still muddy at the bottom so had to keep left up the side a bit and times were a bit slower, but consistent. reps 7 and 8 weren't very pleasant
