Orienteering race (bleargh) 1:09:00 [3] 6.2 km (11:08 / km) +150m 9:56 / km

eurgh it was so slow. i was feeling fair vomitatious so i took it really easy. walked every single hill i think :$

but the hills!!! gaaah *dies* it was super steep!! and every control was up a hill >->

made two mistakes, one about 30 secs or less and the other maybe 1min. i'm bad at estimating time. anyway, the second one was baad. i didn't check my direction coming of a track and i ended up waay too low, easily fixed by unnecessarily walking up a big hill!! grr. the other one, i was a bit high and just had to run down. could have been fixed by having a more definite attackpoint, not just "the gully"

hung with the crew after..feel so sick yuck yuck yuck but i hope it's shortlived.

oh and the armenian nutmeg cake was awesome!!! thanks for the recipe toninininini :)

a great training exercise!

team NIM (nomi eon mace)

mace was good enough to take us round and i + me alternated navigating to a control, and verbalizing lots. funz. all good in the hood too, it was pretty easy. couple of time diirection was a bit off..but nothing too horrible

NO STITCH it is totally not related to food because i had toast and yogurt and strawberries and muesli 10 minutes before!

grant said he estimated 20 minutes of orienteering for each person but i have no idea how long i took.

shannon did the mass start, i was too cat :P

two loops each, with a tag area and everything. it was so much fun!! and i think we came second?? not actually sure. jenny b and scoot won!

i jumped and touched my toes lots. wish we had a trampoline :(

warm up, went a roundabout way, through the pinnacle, to where i start intervals.
got the dreaded stitch...it started on the other side though!! and then migrated.

really pleased, i ignored the etap best i could and went as hard as i could on the hard ones..the easy ones were very easy though...

i noticed the stitch more on the easy ones...gah i don't know

from the orienteer who brought you fruit soup comess.....

late night zucchini pasta!!!

ingredients:

zucchini (half, or depends how keen you are)
garlika
oil
um
sour cream
spaghettiii!!
boiling water
parMEsan

ok procedure:

chuck some boiling water on top of some spaghetti and turn the stove on high
get a frying pan, stick it on the stove thingo and turn it on. add a leetle bit of oil and the finely chopped garlika. just before you burn that, add the zucc. (cut up in any manner that pleases you)

umm yeah just before that goes up in flames, chuck in a dollop of sour cream and some of the water from the pasta and melt/stir.
uhhh then when the pasta is cooked to your liking, drain it with a sieve/colander, and add it to the frypan. add some parMEsan, but reserve some for on top.

mix around a bit. and put it in a bowl. parMEsan on top.

delish!! best served with water, cos kidz on the go drink H2O!! but if you have the resources i guess red wine would work just as well. and perhaps with some benefits for your heart health!! i suggest..stump jump lolz what an absurd name..

next, feel mildly sick from eating it too quickly. following that, dread having to go up to the kitchen and clean up all the mess you made!!

arrrgh i'm so frustrated. i wasn't even running fast. extremely slowly in fact. gaah. why stitich?!?!

anyway, i ran from my house to aranda hill.

i thought the stitch would go away but NO!! aarrrr. annoyed annoyed.

so it was really slow cos

b) tired
c) stitch got worse on downhills so i had to walk them and so that took ages.

ballet!! i went to intermediate foundation..it was fun! and i disagree with lachy about ballet causing stitch.

long run!!

i headed off at a very comfy pace, but lo and behold got the dreaded stitch in my right hand tummy/ribs. controlled it enough eventually with the ouchie squeezy technique.

went to cook bike path and went down to the lake and past the museum, final destination being flagpole! i got there. yeppp.

felt really good in the legs which was annoying cos when i tried to go faster the stitch got owier. grrrr. but anyway it was so nice running!! and waarrm aww summer is on the way :D

and it smelt like summer!! i ran past floriade on this and it looks very pretty.

this was running from commonwealth bridge to the number 10 bus stop! then i looked at the timetable and it didn't come for 15minutes so i went to the intertown one and caught a 314.

got off the bus at calvary and ran the couple of k's to ezza's house. tired..and thirsty by this point.

but i had some water and we made our world famous raspberry smoothie :)

and then talked for a while, then had lasagne and salad for lunch :) refueled. and mother took me home because she was babysitting up the street.

i need to work tonight though. i mean i have to work tonight. at 5:30..bleeh.

worked a killer shift..from 5:30pm - 10:30pm!!

and i still haven't had dinner :( can't decide what i want though...just feel like zeffers pasta. grrr.

tired as. came home from school, last testtt. and took jana to the vet (she has a skin infection :( but has tablets and stuffo) and then i came home and went to bed.got up for dinner then went back to sleep until mutti woke me up for enough rope. very amusing. now it's sleeptime agaaain..
