Key session ahead of WLDMRC in 4wks time: double Snowdon. Almost thwarted by thunderstorms, fortunately there was enough of a gap between morning and afternoon storms to squeeze this in.
The main aim was to get used to climbing on legs that have just done a fast 900m descent, hence I used the 'boring' Llanberis path for both climbs. Didn't descend as fast as hoped but still found the second climb tough, so hopefully this did some good!
The second descent was a bit faster, which I'm putting down to the surge of adrenaline I got from being tripped up by a walker's flailing wizard stick just after the summit. Arms and elbows fairly battered and bruised but only surface damage - it could have been a lot worse.
