The race that was "too hot for TV" - Scottish Interdistricts and Celtic U23 race. Andy Douglas went out hard and had a 50m lead after the first lap but couldn't keep it up and faded in the last lap. So I won. Get me.

Running (AZ) 54:00 [3] 12.0 km (4:30 / km)

I can't quite namedrop like GG, but I did see the US womens XC team outside the parliament and Sergey Lebid doing some wind hindered tempo on Queen's Drive. Blackfriar Street and Blackie Road.

Running (AZ) 1:10:00 [3] 16.8 km (4:10 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2150 #5

Easy 10 out to Blackchapel Place and Road beside Fort Kinnaird. Back was tougher, into the wind and through Niddrie, but had time to pick up Blacket Avenue and Place en route.
6 PM

Running (AZ) 1:05:00 [2] 14.8 km (4:24 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2150 #5

Fartlekky round all the Blackfords - Avenue, Bank, Gate, Glen Road, Hill Grove, Hill Rise, Hill View and Road.

Running (AZ) 1:20:00 [3] 18.0 km (4:27 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2150 #5

Moderate fartlek round some AZs (Blackbarony Road and Blackburn Crag). 30s/1min efforts on the way out and tempo on the way back. Pretty horrendous evening made bearable by the latest Fighting Talk podcast. One of the best I've heard, Olympic Special featuring Gail Emms and Chris Tomlinson.
