Had the fan on again. Makes it hard to read the paper of course. This is probably a good thing, as it would have gotten me even more fired up. My congressman should resign. What an axx. Two wars, and he thinks he can further cut taxes for the ultra wealthy. Standing up for his principles. Exactly what princples are these?

Grandma does not need social security. She should have been smart enough to have been born wealthy. Stupid greedy grandma. I'll make sure she doesn't get her check.

Tried to go faster, but fell apart just after 1 mile - I definitely felt myself falling apart, which was an odd experience. Will have to check the download.

Missed turn, but reoriented and decided to try to finish decently.
Hmmm. Just not all there. Probably should have taken today easy, given what I have done exercise-wise. However, don't know which way weather is going...

5x Hills behind wrenfield.
- From bridge to gate.
Each time, I thought "this time I'm pushing harder, so I've got to be faster", and each time, it was 1:44. (7:18 pace)
And I thought #5 would be slower.... but it was 1:44.

Could definitely feel the difference in my two sides - the R hammy and glute were more sore and working harder going up the hill - esp on the steep part. The key will be to strengthen without injuring...


My first true hill workout in 2 years. As much as I hate hills, it was a good break from the ordinary. Also it was nice to have numbers/metrics attached to it that were completely meaningless.

Another nice thing - the only part that counts during the whole run is the time you are running up the hill. The other parts are light, easy, etc.

Tried to work on form, but kept getting ragged.
New shoes - felt the newness only for first mile, then that left the brain for good (or is that not a good sign?)

Reverse Powder Mills - pretty bad FDFs for entire park boundaries. Probably had 5-8 at one point. There is an 80 second section where my pace goes up by 2 min/mile. I didn't know that they were bugging me that badly. Of course, running with your hands waving above your head is not exactly known as 'good form'

Tried to listen to my footsteps - listen for scrape on right shoe. When it appeared - I'd change to the other (wrong) side of the road.

I googled hip imbalance, etc. There is so much junk out there that you have to sift out. Seems to me that it is based off of weakness in core/hips/thigh. Makes sense - my right hamstring is substantially weaker than my left.

Now I've got to get the right exercises to strengthen properly/evenly. I've been avoiding anything with the word 'core'. (because it has been over marketed, and I am a contrarian! - and lazy - and have always hated situps)

Not as hot as it has been, but still plenty humid today.

Funny - the yoga is supposed to make you looser, but I felt awfully stiff when I woke up this morning.

Noticed that the volunteer tomato had been completely sheared off. Is the vole back? (after having 2 other tomatoes fall over in mysterious circumstances)....
