Running drills and interval session for the Muir of Ord Jog Scotland Group. 26 people of all abilities turned up to the all weather pitch at Dingwall Academy. Very cold but perfect for training. Managed to keep them all busy!
Slush, deep snow, ice, deep streams, you name I ran in it. From the Boath road behind Fyrish then along the top track. No one had been along it so 35 mins of really hard going in deep very soft snow. Didn't manage the full route, cut home at the valley.
Couldn't bear another run in my O spikes so opted to run up and down the only bit of black road in the village (up the glen) that is reasonably quiet at night. Probably only 3/4 mile up until the tracks turned to ice so up and down I went several times.

Fyrish and back on the hill race route but avoiding the worst section. Plan was to walk the ups and "run" the flats and downs. Well I know its been snowing but I didn't realise quite how deep up the hill actually was. One trod all the way up and plenty mist so rather spooky and really hard work. Deep, deep soft snow. Managed some "running" on the way down. For the record 85 up 55 down.
