Running 50:00 [1] 8.5 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Brooks Pure Connect 4

Since it was going to be another long travel day, achilles be damned, I was going out to do some sort of exercise today. Ran out towards the river, and then north back towards the arena and the Titanic museum. I realized that there was enough space close to the stage in the Titanic Quarter that I totalyl could have gone and listen to The Chemical Brothers last night from outside the gate. DANG !!

Running 45:00 [1] 7.3 km (6:10 / km)
shoes: Brooks Pure Connect 4

Drove up to Belfast from Dublin for my most hopeful meeting yet, which was almost ruined by poor navigation and general losted-ness. The area around the arena in Belfast is a complete gong show of highways and exits. Horrific design.

Anyway, after the meeting and a long tour of the Titanic Museum (totally worth the price of admission - its awesome), got to the hotel and went out for a little run through all the parks I could memorize. I've got to admit, Belfast is not a remarkably attractive city. Sorry. I wanted to like it, and if you were one of the hockey players and lived in the Titanic Quarter, great. You're in business. Elsewhere.... meh.

Note

Meeting and traffic and too much tourism. Not my kind of trip. Unhappy about it.

Running 3:00:00 [0] 5.6 km (32:09 / km) +512m 22:04 / km

Climbed a mni-Ireland mountain (let's be honest, they're all mini) at the world's slowest pace. I looked up the name of hill, but I can't remember. It was something close to Cognac, I think.

Anywy....this definitely does not count as training. I suppose sometimes you have to make some sacrifices so that other people can participate, I guess. But this was REALLY slow. *snore*

Amazing weather in Ireland though, and nice views from the top. I would be okay with living in this part of the country. The flat bits, not so much.
