Just another regular ol' run around one of my many loops. There was a running room walk/run for the [some cure] going on. After seeing that Breast Cancer documentary on a flight somewhere, I'm skeptical about every charity run. Edmonton is drowning in them anyway.

Did another cycle-y cycle with Nevin. Tried some different trails, including one that was probably a tad too hard. Its never good to take someone who is still improving their technical skills on a trail that's out of their technical depth. Don't want to be discouraging! However, I look forward to him slaughtering that trail in a matter of weeks.

WHAT! Roller skiing!

I know, that's what I thought. But, Paul asked, so I went. He pretty much always goes out east of Sherwood Park to roads around a bunch of acreages which are remarkably smooth and generally devoid of traffic. In truth its a great place to rollerski. But its also rollerskiing. Developed a solid discoloured blister on the side of my left hand, a few more on my fingers. I think I'm going to swap out my tips on my old swix stars and start using them, if nothing else to have some nice grips.

Cycling 1:10:00 [1]

How to log around an hour 40 minutes of cycling when they're split into an hour session and a 40 minute session. And, by that I mean, I rode my mountain bike to the shop with some detours, and then cycled back home with some detours. So, in this case I decided to dock a half hour from it.

Also, muddier than I thought.

Wednesday orienteering at Goldbar. Quite hot! Did a longer warm-up around the north side of the river. Surprisingly good course considering its Goldbar, this was solved by simply leaving Goldbar. Part of the course was a strong solution to the problems of the Edmonton river valley, which was having some short legs followed by longer travelling legs, unfortunately that petered out after 14 and it went back to uniformly boring long legs. However, those brief bits of short legs through kind of white forest were very nice and a clever use of small spaces. They just need to keep that up for a whole course.

Another bike ride, this time over to Terwilligar again. I was really quite surprised at how wet it was. Some thoroughly deep puddles. After heading out on the golf course run, headed back along what I envision could be another fun, albeit bland map, which will be called the "Electric Alleyway". It could be as long as 6km, but not much more the 100m wide.
