First edition of our semi weekly "SunBunRun", wherein we start at a different cafe, go for a run, then come back and sample their cinnamon bun wares.

Naturally, it decided to snow this morning. So it was cold, windy, and soaking wet. I'm not going to be impressed if my run partners always only want to do 45 minutes.

30 x 1 minute. But not nearly as hard as they should've been.

Morning cycling!

Running intervals 1:20:00 [4] 15.19 km (5:16 / km)
shoes: Saucony Kinvara

Welp, headed off to Fast Trax training for some interval action. 15 x 2 minutes with 2 minutes jog at 10k pace. Slowly ramped up the 10k pace, though. Started out running 3:50, then it started to creep up and by the end ran at 3:20-ish pace. Pleased with how comfortable-esque that felt. The path we use is not exactly "flat" or "fast" so there's a lot of fluctuation that causes a bit of slowdown.

Crafted my race calendar for the next few months, hopefully my foot will allow me to hit them all. Nothing like racing yourself into shape!

April 22 - Prairie Opener
April 28 - 5 Peaks Night Race
April 29 - Edmonton Police Half
May 5 - 5000m on the Track?
May 6 - Morningside
May 12 - 5 Peaks Terwilligar

May 25-27 - Barebones
May 25 - The Blue MileNooooo!

Then some San Fran in there, then the K-100, the Europ-action.

Cycling. Watching sports highlights. How did the Canadian team tie Cuba 1-1 when the Americans beat them 4-0. Now they're going to play Mexico and get crushed and nooooo olympics.

Oh yeah, and there was a new blog post a few days ago! I almost forgot I wrote it (mostly because it took so long).

Full stop.

Foot feels some improvement, hopefully two interval sessions this week, in particular, a 4 x 15 minute at marathon pace. Sometimes, its quality over quantity.
