Rode with Kimmy and Ryan. Had a nice ride. I was a little sore from the race yesterday but it was a great ride with two of my favorite people. Left the house, Fall City, Ames Lake, Carnation, Dunthie Hill, Beaver Lake, Sammamish then home.

It was a really nice ride. My knee was bothering me a bit....but I don't think it's anything ice won't help.

Cascade edge. Swam with Ryan. I was incredibly proud of him! It made my entire race. We struggled the first 1/4 mile but then we were able to get into a nice rhythm. The entire olympic distance races started in the same wave. It was a pretty big group.

Felt pretty good on the bike. It was a nice bike course. Gentle rollers.

I know...hard to believe it was a 5 intensity when I was running a 10:45 min mile. All I can say is this is still an improvement for me. Felt great. Had lots of fun racing. Smiled almost the whole time. Felt happy for Ryan and never walked.

Jumped on the trainer for 30 minutues before my run.

Supposed to run for 2 hours...but I got a late start this morning and my back was hurting a bit.

Ran along West Lake Sammamish. Felt okay...a little sluggish.

Really surprised how slow my pace was the first half. I thought I was going faster than I was.

Ran a faster second half.

Oh my goodness. Lake Sammamish was COLD. Swam there the past 2 days but for some reason...today was really cold. Didn't last long.

Swimming 30:00 [2]

BEAUTIFUL DAY! Ryan and I went to Idylwood after work to complete a 30 minute open water swim. I was looking forward to it all day and it met my expectations in every way.

Note

Supposed to be a rest day...but went for a swim with my sweeite. I know....I know....I'm such an over achiever. NOT!
