Orienteering race 59:45 [4]

Spanish champs classic w35 - not quite as on top of the Nav today on the downhill, but another very enjoyable course and kept running. hard until the end as knew Fin was struggling in the crèche and wanted to get back. Lost a few mins at no 3, and another not optimum route choice combined to cost me the race, but a reasonably comfortable 2nd place finish, albeit five mins down. Pleased with the weekend, but need a bit more navigation practice!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Another long and steep route to the start (1hr call up), with Kim and Marcus.

Orienteering race 13:11 [4]

Spanish sprint champs in miraflores- very hilly! Scrub land to start then steep streets in the town centre. Was 20secs down today (finished 2nd) but no mistakes, just slower legs.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Jog to start then pegged it from finish back to quarantine so that rob could make his start time (with just 25 mins between starts it was a bit tight!)

Orienteering race 37:00 [4] 3.3 km (11:13 / km)

Spanish Middle distance champs (W35). Great fun in the forest with lots of rock details, and I had a good run overall. Couple of small misses in the control circle but nothing major. Pleased to take the win with a 4 min lead, sadly I am not Spanish so will call myself the unofficial Spanish champion instead.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Run/jog/vertical climb to the start, which at least meant the course was very downhill.

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Short course on the model area at Canencia. Went well round the route rob had set me, so decided to take in a few extra controls which didn't go quite so smoothly! Lovely runnable (but steep) forest.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

Training event at La Cabrera - a treat to have a course with flags out as this was organised training pre Spanish champs. Was lovely to be able to practice some navigation as feeling very rusty. Repeated a few legs/part of legs so was out a while. Fun terrain to be in - quite a bit of rock and scrub land. And hot!
