Casual training, Tuhaitara/Woodend. The mind was not on the job - especially in the open strip, and from about halfway around the body wasn't helping much either. Would have pretty much lost confidence if I was going to Nationals...

Run hills 1:14:00 [3]

First time running in the hills without a map for a long time. It showed. Victoria Park (main carpark) to Mt Vernon and return. There had been enough walking on the uphills that I didn't feel the need to go to the top of Mt V - oops, I mean, it was so windy that I didn't feel the need.... And first part of the return was a bit slow because I'd misremembered there being a track below Summit Road before the top of Huntsbury - there's sheep tracks and even they come and go, so I guess good that I got to include some proper terrain 'running' as well...

Making up for a lazy week - lunchtime run from work with Geoff and Phil who claimed to be slow at the moment. Hagley lap plus there and back. I kept up and even managed to keep up some semblance of conversation, but it probably helped that they were afraid to leave the paving while I was taking orienteers' shortcuts through the corners.
