Walking 1:30:00 [1]

Northern part of the Karamu Walkway and return, to stop from going stir-crazy. Kind of feel like I'm log-bulking here as it was a gentle walk, but we did make the return trip in about the posted one-way time! Head felt heavy enough to justify missing the Rotorua off-road race (maybe next time I enter this is it will be 3rd time lucky and I'll get to run it as well?), but otherwise feeling like I can probably get back into it this week even though the cold symptoms aren't going anywhere. Just need to see if I'm still thinking that way when back at the office and the polar-blast-vent tomorrow.

Resthills. Not sure I should have done this as was feeling worse than yesterday, but I'd heard it's a really nice map... Was pretty horrible immediately after but improved later... Probably not quite usual speed but didn't feel 'slowed down'. Did mapper's knowledge help? Well, can't say I was doing a lot of navigating for the first few legs, but rather than being advantageous that probably contributed to time lost in or near the circles for the first four controls... switched on a bit more after that!

Note

Missing the 5k - feeling a bit grot all afternoon, though it might just be the office air-con playing it's usual tricks, so hopefully better tomorrow!
