Got some possible fieldwork coming up soon & my boss doesn't want to send me out if I'm going to come back broken the next day. So loaded up a pack and went for a bit of a jaunt in the northern Hakarimata to see what would happen. Which turned out to be nothing, really, except that it rained a bit, and I can hardly put that down to a weak ankle.

Oh yeah, said I was going to start tracking my statnav ranking, better get July's figures down before they're replaced by August's...

5+10+5 minutes. No repeat of any foot-arch issues, but feeling every bit of last night's efforts!

including a little bit of jogging too, because I actually find it easier to get back up the river terrace into town that way than walking it!
