Yes, that time is correct & even more shocking, I'm happyish with it. (Malcolm I fastest on course at c 55 mins). That's Tinakori Hill for you. Had a good little tussle with William & the other Neil K for much of the course - they caught me while I was in the middle of 3 mistakes in a row. Got ahead on the long leg, never saw Neil again but let William get back with me when I slipped into dream-mode on a track run to (or more correctly past) 15, then he spiked 17 while I went too high and got away when I took on some jungle on way to 18. A fair few elephant tracks which probably saved me a bit here and there, but more by confirming where I wanted to go rather than telling. Also kept coming onto things sooner than I expected, which is wierd coz it's not like I've been doing heaps of orienteering at other scales lately. Good use of a not-brilliant orienteering area, probably most fun I've had on Tinakori Hill (having never been part of the Wellington office culture that is rumoured to have found other ways of having fun on Tinakori Hill)
