Orton Bradley. Red medium, almost chose the long course but by the time I was through the start triangle I was already feeling justified about wimping out - I am SO short of hill strength right now! But enjoyed the outing, at least when I wasn't going uphill - nice place, nice map, nice course. Good 'orienteering flow' (unusual after a bit of a break) and pretty clean - feel I lost a bit of time starting to look for 6 too soon, but must have been minimal; <1 min going too high for 7; and only 'major' was still apparently only <2 min (felt more) at 12 - got on to an old overgrown track below, but perfectly parallel to, the mapped one, didn't think it was the mapped one so wasn't relying on it, but thought I saw the big rock through the trees below as I came into the circle (as if I
was on the track), when it was actually above. Must have just been a rocky looking stump... but ended up in an area too flat so was easy to figure it out quickly. Also wasn't sure I took the right choice (up, track, then down) on the biggest route choice leg (9-10), but had my best split placing on this leg so that settles that.
