Orienteering (course-setting) 45:00 [2]
Collecting most of the controls I put out yesterday. Obviously it goes a bit quicker when you're not having to spend time confirming that you've got the right spot as there's already a flag there (and not having to slip and slide into the native gully with a handful of control stands saved some time too). Hopefully the talk of getting the event onto routegadget bears fruit as was too busy all day to talk route-choice options with people. Was surprised for example how quickly the footmarks disappeared on what I think was the sensible route out of the pit (and just saying, 3 visits to that pit in a week, from different approaches each time, spiked it on every attempt)
Travalling at a kind of 'forced march' which at least in this terrain was probably almost as fast as running - might have to try this approach in competition, but when all the joints are in working order running through the forest is just too much fun!
