Event: Easter 2013

2 PM

National 27:37 [3] 2.8 km (9:52 / km)

Prologue at La Trobe Uni

Great area (thanks for the map invis).
Plan was not to overdo it and conserve for next 3 days. Made about a 15 second mistake on 16. split analyser suggests others but thats me just slowing down.

Enjoyed the day.

Total fine = $15 as my goal was 86.2

Wuill try and be relatively good over Easter but expect some cakes will happen (not overly big on chocolate)

Note

Wow - three runs in a week and 5 in 9 days. No wonder my body feels like crap.
11 AM

NOY race 59:03 [3] 4.4 km (13:25 / km) +110m 11:56 / km

NOY1 @ Brush Creek (Medium Hard)

Calculated time lost: 2:33 (+4.5%)

Was hoping to go pretty well today but that didn't eventuate. While I could have navigated a tad better that again wasn't my main problem. Could run only a couple of hundred metres at a time at best. Truley stuffed on the hills. Very humid and warm conditions not helping. I was expecting the fact I ran a PB at parkrun yesterday might mean I was getting fitter. Perhaps I overdid it then. Fairly tough fasting hasn't helped but it is working.

Must congratulate Mapgirl as the attackpoint splits say she didn't lose any time on any leg on the Short Hard course. Pretty handy time for her and I was worried she might have beaten me on min/km rate, but I still pipped her slightly as I did JL.

LeepBax had a great time and had Nana come along and mind him seeing the event was not far from her place.

Newy Park Run 32:36 [3] 5.0 km (6:31 / km)

Newy Parkrun

LeepBax and I ran a PB. Yippee, cut 25 seconds off our best. Mapgirl really deflated our egos by scoring a whopping 52 second PB. Was surprised because when we met after she turned we seemed to be a lot closer to the turn ourselves. Apparently she had a huge homerun while we faded after a pretty good out leg. Maybe soon we'll combine a good out together with a good return.

Will miss next week due to Easter competition at Bendigo.
