Scotjos Training. Achray.
We started with a mass start knoll picking exercise. It was about 1km + involved a series of about 25 knolls that you had to go to the top of. (also there were no flags, increasing the difficulty!)

I did 4 Map memory excersises. The irst one was horrific, + I seriously didnt know where I ended up, But after that it got much better as I learned to simplify more + only pay attention to the details that I required. By the fourth one I couldnt have been better if I had had a map with me....

A simlification exercise. Our map had only water features (streams, ditches, marshes, etc...), small paths + formline contours marked.

Orienteering 30:00 [3] *** 1.8 km (16:40 / km)

Scotjos training. Plean Country Park.
Speed exercise. Once again there were paths missing from the map. I was pretty rubbish to begin with, I think this was due to lack of concentration + letting the paths put me off. But once I got into it I improved + really enjoyed it.

7x90sec fast gradual uphill 30sec rest. 60sec fast gradual downhill. 30sec rest.

Run to the top of Hermitage woods before intervals. + back down after.
