Otago Peninsula Wickliffe Bay,

1km and past the pyramids, volcanic outcrops shaped like the pyramids, across the dunes to the beach, 2.2km. Down the beach to the cliffs at the end, past a sleepy sea lion, lots of fur seals on the rocks, babies and adults.

Slightly smelly!

Morning walk around Moeraki up to the look out and back down. So many rabbits everywhere, would not be good if you had a veggie patch!

I had forgotten how steep New Zealand hills can be, did a "Moderate" walk on the Otago Peninsula, Baskin Track and back up the High Cliff track.

OK down, but could tell from the steepness that it was going to be a tough climb back up to the road. Missed a marker and had to cross a paddock with long grass that did not help on the steep side of the valley. Finally hit a moderate gradient trial up to the road. On the road and back down to the campervan over 300m of climb in a bit over 2km. Gave it a 5 as the hill was hard, average gradient 13.95% so the step bits were just silly. One shoelace undone stop and one pause when I need to breathe and rest!

Fantastic views either side of the peninsula from the road along the ridge line.
