Easter Day 3 - Crusoe

Open and fast gentle gully spur on the edge of Bendigo all good through to #11 where I pulled up short and lost a couple of minutes enough for a place. Manged to get one place back to end up 5th but the errors on Day 2 cost anything better.

Could not have run any faster without a rabbit to chase and even then I suspect I was close to my limit with around 6:20-7:00 mins per km across the ground

Easter Day 2 Mt Alexander - by Alex Tarr

TOugh course with steep rocky hillside and few easy features so had to wrok hard to stay in touch with the map. Held it together quite well through to just before #6 with only a little time lost in the circle at 4 where I knew I was in the right area but a hard time spotting the right rock. #6 lost 2-3 minutes stopping short and joining the search party, we all miss read the smaller creek for the major one, managed to get away with Nick Dent seeing me, he lost another 10-15 minutes after I got away! lost more time on 9 & 10 which should have been easy but was not concentrating at the end.

Easter Day 1 - Gold mining at Yorkshire Hill
messed up #2 a bit to the right, caught Bill Jones near 6 but spun out to the left on #7 and circled back, missed 8 and saw #9 which was 100m past by the time I got to #8 John Scown and Bert Elston were there 2 and 4 minutes behind me. Took off with the pack now 5 keep in touch but also kept John in sight, Bert was behind and the other two dropped off. managed to overhaul John at 15 then see saw with John to the finish but was out sprinted by on the finish leg. Bert came in 30 sec later and we took the top 3 spots for the day!!

Easter Prologue - Medium course

Lost of mistakes including a 180 out of 5 and confusion around the buildings towards the end.

Hope for a better concentration tomorrow

Garmin fail again, will not download

Road Cycling 1:11:00 [3] 30.5 km (25.8 kph) +144m
shoes: Colnago CLX

Not the gooseneck ride which was advertised as 70km so went for the cut off 45km ride across on Story Rd but somehow it turned into 30km! Mind you with only 5-6deg it was fine not to go so long and save some legs for later in the day. Took at least 2 hours for the fingers to warm up

Garmin fail no trace except an old one from Perth!

Road Cycling 1:35:00 [3] 35.0 km (22.1 kph)
shoes: Colnago CLX

In Bendigo, along the creek bike path to Bendigo Pottery and then back throught he city to the opposite end of the path. Quite a horrid path on the 2nd half with road crossings every couple of hundre metres and gutters and crap crossing points. Gave up on the path ans took a nice bike lane on the highway back into town
