Big group today. Some haries turned up and shot off and I just went along nicely with usual group. Then after Kirkgate ran with Longshorts and James Harrison.

I wanted an easier one this week and it felt much easier. Surprised to see it was so quick. Main difference was going off a bit quicker so barely broke 3:50 on the way back instead of last weeks pretty much tempo effort.

Been a pretty much perfect 4 week block. Time to bank it in time for East Districts.

The actual final session down on Meadowbank. Decided to do a VO2 session afters Thursday's sprinting antics.

Classic 4x1600(3) 2x1k(2). With Jack and Alex

Set off conservatively on first mile then settled into 72's nicely. The miles were grim the k's felt not too bad. As shown by the fact we finished with a 67 last lap and what I think is my fastest K ever on Meadowbank.

Was quite late and didn't fancy any of the usual routes so got on the bus for about 15min got off and headed in the direction of home with no plan or idea where I was. Ended up on top of another old railway path but couldn't get to it so tried to get onto it but took me about 4 attempts.

Parlauf session with Carcas.

I thought it was just our small group but didn't realise it was like everyone who uses the track and even got to use batons (think there was a good 10sec to be had on improved changeovers).

Dusted off the spikes to see what we could get up to. It was bloody tough though. Quickly settled into a lone second place so running solo the whole time (lapping lots of people but doesn't help too much). I didn't keep splits as too hard with the changeover and numb hands.

Ran 27:33 so an average of 66.1 which I am pretty happy with. Could be Carcas doing 64's and me 68s though.

The realisation of what an absolute machine Kenenisa is sank in. He would of lapped of us. Amazing.
