Some interesting legs. Control taken out as line hadn't been cut but didn't cause me a problem as I saw next control from previous control.
Took one poor route, on 6, up twisty ramp/stairs, doesn't look as bad on map as it was on ground but still probably should have taken other route.
Went high on both 12 and 15, maybe should have gone low/left on 12.

O Track Test

2 seconds quicker!...

Hurt from about 2 mins in. Took a while to recover afterwards (and to stop coughing). HR was quite similar to what I would expect from a race.

Felt quite slow and tired (maybe unsurprisingly!). Seemed to take forever to turn round though the lactate feeling wasn't so noticeable as first time.
It was a windier today (more noticeable on bends).
Tried to keep everything I could similar - same time of day, same shoes, same time since breakfast (though I had slightly less for breakfast though stomach didn't feel great beforehand).

Training Summary

13 days between test runs
15 hard sessions: 4 orienteering, 2 cross trainer
Felt good about half way through.
Calves were quite sore through days 3-9.
Hip became less of a problem over block.
Maybe did slightly too many other things (ie mapping).

Conclusion

Borderline ineffective/inconclusive. Tempted to try something similar again in future with changes.
