DEE Club Champs
Bickerton 4.9km

Know the area fairly well and was smooth through most of the controls. Took the win even with the handicapping.

Coaching at NW squad. At Daresbury. Small area but better than I thought. Mainly in the 'urban' bit and then a little in the wood.

O shoes were still really wet from kinder so decided to take some old ones. Wore one from my first pair of inov8s and the other from my second pair, not quite sure how I'm suppose to log that.

Short race round the wood. Printer wasn't working at the end so unkown time.

Night event on Bickerton.

Was going all right until I lost my ecard on the way to 8. Flicked off in some heather. Look for quite a while then carried on and did a loop and went back to have another look. Wasn't entirely sure where I had lost it but kept telling myself I would eventually find it. A few people had a look with me but nothing, eventually someone walks up and picks it up straight away a metre away from where I had been looking for ages.

Moral of the story - tie it to your wrist.

Apparently the guy being filmed in the gym was the world downhill mountain bike champ, although a certain mountain biking 'fan' didn't recognise him.

Long day and was getting dark when I got back so had to run round the roads. Went over to Fulwood. Last third was a struggle.

Early morning. Was wet and started raining again while I was out. Was going to do some strides but shin was fed up of tarmac and grass was too wet.

Gruff Intervals on Kinder with danger, gg and little rob.

Tough but fun. Felt knackered after 2. Somehow manged to run really well on the ones I led, maybe I just picked a more suitable route for my fitness.

Some pretty steep drops, first one took me by surprise and almost fell down it.
