Lank Rigg
Dank and wet with next to no visibility, thankful for the track as I had no real map with me. A slightly annoying one as I'd been within a few hundred metres of the summit with Lewis during a Saunders many moons ago.

Proper dreich morning after bucket loads of rain overnight.

It was actually more pleasant than I had imagined and really rather nice underfoot may be I will head back at some point?

Hardknott

Just a quick up and down from the pass, after having been so close to this with Saville during the OMM a few years ago it was nice to have finally ticked this one off too. Had half planned to venture up the valley during the Duddon weekend last year but a bad run on Caw put me off the idea.

The sun came out which was nice with good views down Eskdale.

Buckbarrow
Penultimate Wainwright wasn't really expecting to see anyone on this as its not really anything and barely a summit but I saw 2no. people at the bottom coming off the hill and 2no. at the top just as I was arriving.

A steep little punchy climb on relatively nice grass. I'm sure the view would have been good towards Sca Fell bit the cloud was down and thick. Took a bit of a maverick route down across the slope towards the farm for a bit of variety. Another annoying one which I think Lewis and I will have passed close by during the Saunders.

Leg seems to have held up pretty well this week. Potentially able to try some strides and stuff next week.

Easy Wallsend Dene with Em pre-work.
Nice morning for it with a decent sunrise, top path was a lot nicer and less muddy than I had imagined.

Rannerdale Knotts by headtorch.
One of my resolutions this year is to finish the wainwrights of which I only have a handful of annoying out the way ones left.

This was the first, just fancied getting it done as its so short. It was a bit drizzly and windy but it was a bit interesting especially in the dark.

Pootle around Sandyford and Jesmond Dene at lunch, a few phantom wavers of the calf but seemed to be pretty much grand again.

Aiming to get back to running a bit more by Madeira in a couple of weeks and then be in a good place to start 2023 properly by February but seem to have made some promising progress.

Evening walk around Wallsend after being cold all day and napping, nice to get some fresh air but missed a beaut of a day.

Calf a ok after the weekend but a bit tight/tired with the hiking I think.
