Seana Braigh, Eilidh nan Clach Geala and Meall nan Ceapraichean
Bit of an impromptu decision to tick off Seana Braigh after refueling in Ullapool. Had intended to begin my journey southwards but felt I had time for a long'un. My knee had stiffened up a fair bit in the lunchbreak so the first km or so was a bit painful but fine once I had gotten going.
It was much more humid when setting off but I made good time over towards Sean Braigh on a track turning slowly in to a cool little single track-esque sort of path. I had a bit of an idea to tick of Eilidh nan Clach Geala on the way back if I felt OK as it wasn't too far offline. After crossing in to the Strath Conon watershed I got rather confused with the deep valley appearing in front which I didn't fully anticipate luckily the col wasn't as far away as anticipated though and it was pretty straight forward to get up to the top. As I arrived the clouds cleared and the views over to Suilven etc were amazing!
En route back I decided I couldn't resist the extra munro, however once I got up there I realised I could get another quite quickly. I toyed with the idea of Cona Mheall and Beinn Dearg also but felt they would probably push me over my limit and leaves me with some interest to add to the Am Faochagach route for another day.
Set off back down the valley and slowly lost the ability to run as the bonk arrived. Ended up plodding the last bit on empty. Great day out!
