Fell running warm up/down 35:50 [3] 5.25 km (6:50 / km) +132m 6:04 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-talons 212 2013

Went out to Burbage with Willy and Crickmore warm up and bad drop off with Crickmore then back up to the start of my loop.
Jog to catch Crickmore up after his last loop then a jaunt down to the river to wash a little then in to the wood for a loop and back to the bag to wait for Willy.
Jog to both starts and back from the finishes of the little orienteering section we did.
Then jog back to the car at Fox House afterwards.

Fell running tempo (Timetrial Loop) 22:58 [5] 4.0 km (5:45 / km) +150m 4:50 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-talons 212 2013

Tested out the leg off road whilst testing out a potential time-trial loop on Burbage I fancy trying to do quite regularly. Distance and climb are straight line.
Generally in terrain with little routechoice-y sections. Its actually pretty good with a few tough bit but the going is generally good :).
Tried to take splits at each point I was going to

Orienteering race 24:40 [5] 3.8 km (6:29 / km) +145m 5:27 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-talons 212 2013

What we dubbed the inaugural intra-ShUOC ultra-sprint. In Burbage boulders 3 little mass start loops planned by Crickmore and then a chasing start with 3 butterfly loops.
1 - Harder than the rest but messed up a bit and lost some stupid time not entirely sure I was 100% right
2 - Better
3 - Fine
The result of the 3 loops meant I was 38s behind Willy and 28s behind Crickmore.
So they ran away from me and out of sight on the final and it didn't help having Willy on the very short gaffle followed by mine meaning he was straight behind me pretty much. Was steady but lost some time towards the end with running. To be expected as this is the furthest I've ran since Fairfield.

Really good day out though :)

Running 26:00 [3] 5.4 km (4:49 / km) +95m 4:26 / km
shoes: Saucony Ride 5

Steady to get a break from revision
Goodwin, Ranmoor, Crosspool, Cemetary and home
Nice and easy, knee felt a lot better though still some pain (Knee/Shin) running down Springvale. Main problem is DOMS which is terrible!

Running 33:00 [3] 6.8 km (4:51 / km) +80m 4:35 / km
shoes: Saucony Ride 5

Woke up with a new sensation in my legs....muscle stiffness and soreness! Lost so much fitness but got a few weeks to get back so not going to rush it especially with exams on the horizon :(
So went down to the lake again and two laps then back, again feeling tired after 4km. Tiredness in my arms and shoulders. Less knee/shin pain though I'm still protecting it a little going down hill.

Running 33:00 [2] 5.5 km (6:00 / km) +65m 5:40 / km
shoes: Saucony Ride 5

Went for a little loop around the block this morning to try it out and it felt sore (mid-shin and upper-shin) and my knee felt a little tight which was to be expected but promising

Then went a loop out to the lake to check it if it was "run-off-able" which it kind of was after a bit but running form isn't great trying to protect it obviously though downhill has improved its still the worst. Uphill and flat were fine though a little painful with an exaggerated push off. Felt a bit naff physically maybe due to the warmth and lack of a breeze? Or maybe just the result of having two weeks off.

Pleased....Progress! :D
