Led SC hike at West Tyson including short loop on the prairie. Nice group of 14. Trails a bit slicker and muddier than expected -- not as good as 3 weeks ago when they were partially frozen. Amazing how many small birds we saw and heard -- perhaps because juniper berries had dropped?

Rockwood Range trails: Fox Creek; bushwhack to Dogwood; Green Rock to Roundhouse Loop; and finish on Green Rock. Fox Creek and Roundhouse were muddy and icy. Dogwood and Green Rock in much better shape.
