Orienteering race 1:19:21 [4] 15.9 km (4:59 / km) +160m 4:45 / km

Orienteering in Sherwood Forest - Nice sunny weather. I was surprised, how is Sherwood area clean during winter?! After my last visit in summer I thought that Sherwood is orienteering "green hell", but during this winter is a nice running area. I run good race till control No. 23. Than I made small mystake, but after that I totaly lost my concentration and did a lot of small mystakes on every controls. Weak route planning from course planner again. No long route choice! It is bad idea that difficult control mean hidden in deep pitch under havy bracken :-(. Winner S. Fraser 65' (bloody hell!!). Me 76' (with 4' mystakes) on 4 th. place. Beat Richard and Andy P.

I collected "some" controls from area. I expected few controls, but no 31!! :-(. But sunset between old oaks was amazing experience. Probably only for me, not for Silvie :-)

Running hills 7:30 [4] 1.0 km (7:30 / km) +250m 3:20 / km

Hills intervals in Uni. Very cold condition, but I felt better than last time and even I run better than last time. 47"-44"-43"-43"-42" - 6:30 slow run 44"-45"-43"-42"-41".

Running warm up/down 24:52 [1] 4.0 km (6:13 / km)

Slowly back + run between hills intervals

Wednesday Feb 6, 2008 #

Running long 1:08:32 [2] 12.0 km (5:43 / km) +40m 5:37 / km

Long run in Wollaton with Silvie without headlamp. Lightness becoming faster and faster so I tried to run without lamp. On begin was everything OK bud after 30' was deep dark and we could' t recognized muddy places :(. On the end of run big crisis

Warm up to Uni + 15' stretching.

Running intervals 32:17 [4] 9.6 km (3:22 / km) +60m 3:16 / km

3 x 3,2 km with 7' rest (just walking) 10:50; 10:37; 10:39. Strong wind against me, but I felt good. In the last circuit little pain in back, but OK.

Running warm up/down 15:50 [2] 3.0 km (5:17 / km)
