Feeling a bit worse for wear. Sore knees, very stiff back and shoulders. Big blister on my hand, little one on the top of my foot. 4 black toe nails, bruise of the front of my ankle. So think its ok with a rest day!
Vasaloppet, (-16 at the start, ~-4 during the day I think). Unfortunatly it was a tough day for me! I had handed my ski's into Jan Ottosson for vaxing and was a bit suspicious when he crossed out my span markings and add 5cm but since he's got an Olympic gold and won Vasaloppet 4 times I decided to go with it - big mistake! I have quite soft ski's and this meant that with too thick grip wax and the longer grip zone the grip wax sat in the snow all the time. Couldn't pole anything and felt like I went backwards on the downhills. Was really good on the uphill though! 45min for the first 3km as well because it was so jam packed. Always fun to do Vasaloppet but yesterday was a real mental test and next year I'm watching from my sofa!
Had a rest day gave me a chance to do my washing so I smell of apple blossom on the start line and to paraffin my ski's and bush them until they shined!
Kusens, 10 x 90/45 on the road parallel to the motorway. I was totally empty and fairly rubbish. We found out which AstraZeneca sites they are shutting today, fortunatly not Södertälje, so a stressful day. Also when we had finished intervals we realised that Thomas H car had been broken into, computer, wallet, phone and house keys. Not much fun and meant we hung around after for a while to help him.
