Bit of a disappointing JK all round for me.
Sprint was ok, 5th, but still there were quite a lot of seconds lost; Middle, 8th and lots of quickest splits but made a poor route choice to go high on a leg which meant that going down the right re-entrant was more of a challenge - fail; Long - missed at one of the simplest controls on the course (13) - was it the map colour or was it mud?
Running quickly enough - navigation not consistent and not up to scratch.
Weather not great; areas not great; performances not great :-( . There's another race next weekend and plenty of other targets this year. :-)

JK Day 3 - Beaudesart
Bit of a missed opportunity and somewhat disappointing.
Missed 1 min in the green at 3 then reasonably ok through 12 ....then was looking for a thicket amongst the ditches at 13 but it was a clearing. Don't know if it was the map colours or what - but seemed a bit of a colour blindness issue, - and the ditches were lost under either the brashings or other forest workings. I wasn't in a good place...realised what was what what just as I was caught 6 mins by KT. That was a bit of a shock but promptly led him through 14 and dropped him some way back through 15 and 16. He caught me again at 17 where we both significantly overshot. Together for 18 and 19 then he disappeared up a different track on the long leg to 20, where I had the quickest split. Struggled through the remainder with KT finished about a minute later.....he had the last laugh by finishing 2nd overall though :-(
Lost in the order of 10 mins...not good.
Oh for Deeside forests...this was muddy, brashed grot.
