Missed running WSOC Middle course due to needing to visit a couple of controls in the forest to understand a mp. Got back just in time to see G get his bronze!

Quick spin round the complex hotel complex post swim on the "rest" day. Nice place for a sprint. Lots of twists and turns, and ups and downs of staircases. With Blair.

WSOC Friendship Relay round Palermo. Coaches race.
Teamed with a Hungarian who ran at WOC 99 in Scotland, and a Slovakian interpreter.
Great old city centre. Lots of alleyways, scooters, wandering Sicilians, some dubious. Great fun.
We were doing alright but the Slovakians O experience wasn't great and she miscounted alleyways i think.

A quickfire 5k round a few tracks after sorting the Scottish runners at the Long race start. Didn't think there was enough time to do one of the course's but it appears there would have been.
Great to see wee MG take gold.

Orienteering (WSOC - Model) 49:00 [3]

Ficuzza, Sicily
Logistical challenges of long coach journeys will be the order of the week i think but all up for the model race.
Ran round most of the controls stopping periodically to chat and coach various Scots.
Nice oak wood in part but plenty spikey in other areas. Certainly not straightforward. Should be an interesting Long day tomorrow.
