Trail 2:15:16 [3] 22.6 km (5:59 / km) +586m 5:18 / km
ahr:149 max:169 shoes: Inov8 RaceUltra

Round the Illuminator route from Aboyne bridge with SP, JR, SW, KH, MN, and SR. First head torch run of the autumn. Knew it would be tough and it was.
Just about managed to keep up going up the Fungle and over the worst of the climb. Settled into a better rhythm on the flats and downhill but glad of SallyW and KatieHs company over the last few k.

Note

Pleasant autumn wander up Craigendarroch with k and t.

Note

Seriously weary after yesterday but nice, very colourful, wander round the Glen Tanar two bridges and "admired" the new track bypassing the flood damage. With T and k.

Trail / Terrain Run 28:00 [3] 4.1 km (6:50 / km) +109m 6:02 / km
shoes: Inov8 RaceUltra

Too nice not to. Up to Torqu then round the cropped fields in the late afternoon sun. Nice. Feeling ok.

Warm up/down 10:00 [3]
shoes: Inov8 RaceUltra

With k and a short section with SamB beforehand.

Trail race (Loch Kinord 10k) 43:18 [5] 9.8 km (4:25 / km) +71m 4:16 / km
shoes: Inov8 RaceUltra

Found my place in the first 2k and pretty much stayed there apart from picking off SeanOS at about 5k and then SaraH not long before the finish. Not as muddy as feared but a lot of ups and downs, twists and turns, and a few awkward stoney sections. 24th/133 and 5th M50...30s ahead of first M60. Just behind BobS and DennisMcD,
Great goody bags and top notch soup and cake after too.
