Note

... have decided not to head over to Sweden this weekend and run ten legs between us. Will put all our energies into supporting the one who is instead.

Note

Fighting the grass seed with the hosepipes....and yet another year on the tally stick. Grim.
Up Peter Hill late on amongst the stone chats, meadow pippets, grouse, ...and lambs. Pleasant part of Aberdeenshire this.
Cheese and red wine to finish.

DR session at Glen Tanar except not feeling up to intervals so ran steadily round two bridges with DirkW. Good chat and added in an extra bit up towards half way hut. Lovely evening but nothing in my legs.

Balnagowan loop in reverse of normal direction. With SamR.
14 out today. Really quite warm.

Note

Plenty moving sprinkler....and a late evening wander up to the steading and watched the sun go down.

Looked forward to this but wasn't sure how the legs would perform after essentially 'marathon' efforts of week before.

Felt somewhat heavy legged early on but eased into it and was pleased generally. A couple of errors worth talking about only. Lost well over a minute at 4 in the circle when looking round the southern edge of hill rather than higher up near the top. Went away and came back. Then heading to 10 paid too much attention to others and confused myself in the contours. Major hesitations resulted. Another 30-40s plus.

Pretty straight route choices throughout and probably didn't lose much more time on the navigation. Loved it all though and certainly performed much better than at the 6 day
