Trail (RTH Guiding - Balmoral) 2:55:35 [3] 24.25 km (7:14 / km) +417m 6:40 / km
ahr:124 max:166 shoes: Mudclaw 300 b/r

D & M from London.
Set out for Balmoral 15 miler but M probably not really up for it in the slightly inclement weather so modified things somewhat after the Garbh Allt iron bridge. Took in the 10k hill and then Prince Leopolds cairn and John Brown then back to Easter Balmoral. Very easy paced with lots of photo stops.

Loch Kinord and Burn O'Vat. Both P and J suffering a bit so slow and steady.

Orienteering race (DNC - Inchmarnoch) 47:03 [5] 4.5 km (10:27 / km)
shoes: Mudclaw 300 b/r

Still can't get used to it being Torphantrick but anyway....that was more like it.

Tricky, and heavily brashed in places but lots of fun. Somewhat shorter to accommodate the post-series curry..maybe thats partly why I found it more enjoyable than some of the others too.

Clean round pretty much all of it. Impressed how smooth JW seemed as he went past in the small control pick area.

4th behind JC (34), JW(37) and AC(43)..think we need an adults only race for next year.

Started Garmin late.

Trail (RTH Guiding) 2:06:48 [3] 18.6 km (6:49 / km) +163m 6:32 / km
shoes: Mudclaw 300 b/r

Guiding for RTH.
J and P from Kent again. P suffering from a chest infection so expected to have to modify the planned Balmoral 15 miler.
Cloudy but nice snow underfoot although got a bit tough in Ballochbuie along the track by the dam. Deer plentiful down at that end looking good in the snow.
Cut back at the white Dee bridge and also decided against going up round Ripe Hill. Just as well as P was suffering in spite of a slow pace. The open hill wouldn't have been great in the high wind anyway.
Nice to be out in the great surroundings and appreciated by all.
