Warm up/down 10:00 [2]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

Pre Parkrun on the Prom with K. Great weather.

Road Running race (Aberdeen Parkrun) 20:01 [5] 5.0 km (4:00 / km)
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

Missed Cambus on Thursday so good to do this.
Another changed course with first 400m being on a slight incline and the only uphill at all bar the wee ups and downs where the steps hit the prom.

Another 35s lopped off pb. 10.08 to the turn and 9.53 back the way. All pretty comfortable. 21st.

K (21.26) starting to get some good fitness back.

Warm up/down 30:00 [2]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

On the beach and on the prom in the sunshine with K.

Trail 38:00 [3]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

With K.
Not been in Trustach for a while and found some great new paths. Easy and chatty pace.

Note
(rest day)

Plan was for Cambus Canters. Plan didn't allow for low cloud and three aborted landings at Aberdeen and a rail trip from Edinburgh instead. Not funny...any part of it!

Note
(rest day)

In depths of the deepest south.

Trail 53:00 [2]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

Very much a plod. Heavy legged but wanted out. Glen O'Dee - some parts I don't go in so often.

Monday Jun 2, 2014 #

S&C 50:00 [3]
shoes: Saucony Progrid (Orange)

SS warm up for 10
SS various for 10
stretching for 12 concentrating as usual on calfs, achilles, quads, hamstrings, groin.
free weights etc for 10
treadmill w/d for 8 with some strides

Good session. Feeling good.

Note

Reflections on BOC two days on:
- A well planned physical challenge that I was poorly prepared for. In years gone by we certainly seemed to orienteer in that type of thick forest far more frequently than we (I) do now.
- Somewhat disappointed that my Orienteering regressed somewhat. I need to think about getting it back to Easter levels.
- On reflection I probably enjoyed it more than I thought at the time. Initial feelings were probably largely borne out of disappointment that I didn't cope with it better given the decent physical shape I feel to be in.
- The top 3 were the right top three anyway. Well done to each of them. They can debate whether it was in the right order!

Note

Physio appointment for my neck tonight.

Note

Hmm...not on the waiting list for Craggy Island Tri anymore. Laugh or cry, got an entry. Better do some swimming.

Note

"Mechanical strain" around my 7th vertebra. A few exercises to do. Ergo injury probably.

Trail 35:00 [2]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

Comtemplated the Scolty Race but did the sensible thing and went for an easy couple of loops around Tilquhillie instead.
