Trail / Road Run 25:00 [3]

Miscellaneous wu/wd before, between and after sprints.
Orienteering race (INT Livingston SOUL ) 11:40 [4] 1.9 km (6:08 / km)
shoes: XTalon 212
Rushing too much and haven't looked carefully at the splits yet but know I lost a lot of time 2 through 5 in the wood including real bananas to 4 and 5. Caught AL at 12. 2nd but a long way down on GL.
Orienteering race (INT Livingston SOUL ) 15:12 [4] 2.3 km (6:37 / km)

Again well a truly cuffed by GL.
Reasonably clean on this once I'd worked out where the course went. 2nd again. You can only beat those who are fit and well who are there but I suspect Gary's times would have held up well against any Supervet anyway today.
Note
Not particularly happy with the first race but the second was considerably better. Need to work on planning ahead much more if I'm to do more of these. Too manyhesitations and route choice errors.
It would be great if all urban events used white borders for the control numbers like they did at Perth. It makes the world of difference at least to those of us who are colour challenged. Took me an age to work out where the courses actually went, particularly to no 1 in Race 2 yesterday....although to be fair that number didn't actually need the border, I just didn't expect it to be where it was. The whole thing is not meant to be an exercise in seeing the course on the map.
