S&C warm up/down 20:00 [2]
shoes: XTalon 212

Pre and post scottish sprints with k. Decent w/u for a change.

Orienteering race (Scottish sprints) 12:29 [4] 2.15 km (5:48 / km)
shoes: XTalon 212

Straightforward stuff but pleased with the pace, particularly the focus and pretty much all elements of the race for a change. Only one or two minor hesitations.

If you are from the class of 57 you are pleased to break the Dixie, Jethro, DonP monopoly in any branch of the sport whatever at any time. Would have rather they'd all been there fit and well but I'll take it nevertheless.

Warm up/down 10:00 [2]
shoes: XTalon 212

Pre scottish nights.

Orienteering race (Scottish nights, Kinnoull) 43:17 [4] 3.5 km (12:22 / km) +185m 9:47 / km
shoes: XTalon 212

Not so pleased with this.
Very messy from 5 onwards and then to top it off missed a path on a 2 minute leg going from 12-13 and took 9, eventually having relocated off 7.

Game of two halves.

Usual mix.

Trail / Road Run 42:00 [3]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

Head torch run, easy pace in the mud of Glen O'Dee . Didn't need the head torch for first half. Things are looking up.

Feeling good after an energetic weekend.

Monday Feb 10, 2014 #

XC Skiing 1:20:00 [3] 11.9 km (6:43 / km)

Plane to catch..half day...barely that.
Early start from Frognerseteren. Tryvannstua, Ullevalseter and Sognsvann. Empty Norwegian forests early on a Monday morning. Up before the track cutters in some places so tough work.
With c.

Sunday Feb 9, 2014 #

XC Skiing 2:30:00 [3] 21.07 km (7:07 / km)

With c. From Holmenkollen in fog. Couldn't see a thing, not even the new Holmenkollen.

To Frognerseteren, Fronsvollstraka and single track up to Skjennungstua - kaka og kaffe - Blankvann, Kobberhaughhytta, decided against the extra 10k to and from Kikut, and back to Ullevalseter via Lorenseter then Sognsvann.

Surprisingly good today. Red wax worked well. Very empty tracks for a weekend - Nordmarka tracks are so good in fresh snow and when the Oslo hordes aren't out. Slightly less tired than yesterday..maybe because the wax was so much better.

3k up on 20k per day average needed.
