Trail 1:27:20 [3]
shoes: XTalon 212

Couple of days rest for a variety of reasons so great to get out.
With TR and BigJon from Raemoir west entrance, anticlockwise round the Hill of Fare loop. Somewhat cloudy but brightened, and certainly better than I expected. Good chat all the way round.

Don't think I run enough with folk quicker than me. Need to do more of it. Too easy to slowly plod otherwise.

Orienteering (Balmedie DNC) 1:34:11 [3]
shoes: ORoc 340

I'd like to say I enjoyed this, but if I did I'd be lying. The first was ok then I couldn't make anything fit at 2 and 4 was just as bad, if not worse. Had taken so long by that time that decided just to forget the race and pootle round the remaining 21. Mind not on it after 4. One to consign to the bin.

Orienteering race (Maroc Glen O' Dee) 1:05:00 [4]
shoes: ORoc 340

Best course I've ever done in this place. Kept largely away from the usual east end tracks and was Scottish forest rough with the addition of a lot of recent wind blown and it was continually challenging.

Running ok but just can't even think about the speed JD and SC got round it in. Struggling a little bit in the rough terrain. Need to do more! Young legs must just eat up this stuff. 2 significant errors probably cost 5 minutes and a couple of other occasions messed about in the circle.

Certainly well worth getting out in it though.
