Trail 1:15:00 [3]

Leisurely round Loch Kinord with T and K then more of a blast on the trails by Burn O'Vat with K for the last 25 mins. Blazing colours.

Trail 50:00 [3]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

Too much curry and cake at work=heavy stomach.
West Gate Raemoir Hotel steadily up to the shooting lodge on the Hill of Fare and back. Bits of the wood have improved no end with the thinning. Nice evening but won't be many more evening shorts and t-shirts runs this year.

Warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

From Aboyne CC to the green for Deeside Runners session. Now, it really is a long time since I did this regularly on a Tuesday. Many many years. Lots of the same faces though and plenty of new ones.

Drills 15:00 [3]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

Hard work.

Intervals 30:00 [3]
shoes: Pegasus 29 (red)

1x 4.30s tempo, 10 x 1/1, 1 x 4.30s.
Tried to ease into things somewhat gently to avoid damage. It still hurt.
Good session. Now to make it a regular thing.

Note

Wary of speed work effect on achilles but stood up well.

Orienteering (Crathes Brown) 1:10:29 [3] 8.6 km (8:12 / km) +225m 7:15 / km
shoes: ORoc 340

Never tire of this place. Its in such good nick at present too.

Ran in Orocs for first time since 6 day and they gave the achilles no problems. Really positive.

Set off quickly, probably too quickly as it happens. Caught EH 90s between 4 and 5. Very hesitant at 8 and 9 in the rougher stuff. Really slow up the hill between 11 and 12 starting to suffer from the fast start. Saw EH again as I left 12...I was taking the long track route to 13...turns out it was fastest. Faffed a bit at 14 looking for the boulder in the undergrowth..not as much as others though. Caught SG at 19 or at least I saw him...he then had the legs on me over the long leg to 20 but he missed and I didn't. Never saw him again.

AR: 67.32
Not entirely clean but Crathes is that kind of place no matter how well you know it. Pleased with the run out especially no achilles soreness.
