Trail 1:38:00 [3]
shoes: ORoc 340

Steady with K. From Bridge of Bogendreip, where they seem to be gutting the cottage, south along Water of Dye to the wooden bridge. Crossed it and went up via Tillyfumerie, over the Ord, back past Bogarn then crossed the road and spent forty minutes running through some of the best bits of Glen Dye near Cormech and the Black Loch. Nice run but pretty wet. Just the buzzards, a deer or two and ourselves. K pretty tired by the end.

Friday Mar 8, 2013 #

Note

Lots more stones.

Trail / Road Run 50:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Pegasus 27 (b/y)

With K through Glen O'Dee then a couple of laps of Burnett Park as it was getting dark. Back via the golf course. 20 mins at a good tempo in the middle. Felt better as I went on.

Note

Day off. Shifted a few stones.

Company medical. Total of 15 mins worth....but training? I don't really think so :-)

Pre Sol 1

Orienteering race 56:51 [4]
shoes: ORoc 340

SOL 1 at Gullane. A very long time since I've been there!

Really enjoyed and in many ways happy with the outcome. Frustrations too from several misses or route choices but demonstrated where I'm at just now. Overall fitness and strength is good but speed is somewhat lacking understandably.

Path route to 3 lost time then threw away 2 mins at 4 where many people seemed to have trouble in the wooded bit. CC caught me 1 mins at 6, and then I blew 8. Really not sure about that leg..the track didn't seem right then nor did some fences. Anyway another 2 mins plus disappeared. Reasonably ok then through to 21, then lost more time on the homeward piiece either through poor route choice or trying to disentangle myself from the grot at 23.

3rd M55 behind JT and DP. 50 mins was eminently doable, 45 or 46 as per Sasha and JT wasn't.
