Trail 23:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Pegasus 27

Very easy round Glen O'Dee on paths I don't usually go on.

Trail 1:30:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Pegasus 27

Lovely day up on the HIll of Fare.
Cluny Crichton castle, Kennerty, Corfeidly, Brownhill, back along the main track, over The Skairs, Craigrath and then Hill of Corfeidly. Then straight back and down to the Hotel.

Trail / Road Run 37:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Pegasus 27

Nice social run with RW around Hazlehead. Deviated from normal route and meandered through the garden and the fairways whilst there were still no golfers about. RW put the boot in a little on the way back.

Orienteering race (DNC - Perwinnes Moss) 56:00 [3]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

Not happy about this one.

Somewhat deficient map especially around no 4. Plenty of expletives as CL and I searched on our hands and knees through the fight and amongst the empty beer and whisky bottles. A somewhat surprised local didn't help matters by getting irate when he got blinded by a headtorch in the midst of the same fight. Control seemed easy when we found it..usually does I guess. Took the fun out of the rest of the course somewhat - didn't help at 14 that I was reading the map around 15.

Gym 30:00 [3]
shoes: Reebok Premier RoadPlus

Easy spinning to get the weekend out of the legs

Note

PS on the Big Weekend

Great weekend but can't help feeling, now I'm an oldie so they say, that not enough priority is now given to getting map colours and overprints right. Both days the overprint colours were a disaster, particularly if you are in anyway colour challenged and for many of us some of the detail on that street map was just too small.

Orienteering 1:06:00 [4]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

Too much "full english" at the B&B. Not very spritely!
Faffed about at 4 and 5 amongst the gorse and paths that I couldn't make head nor tail of...then did a bit more faffing whilst trying to work out the overprint out on the butterflies.

Not one to write home about.
