Orienteering race 2:00 [4]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

Overshot 1, then over on the ankle not far into leg 2. Stood in a cold muddy boggy stream for a few minutes to ease it then hobbled back to the finish. Great start to the big races..not.

5 x Coombs competing on the same day for first time in a few years! 4 finished :-)

Trail / Road Run 36:55 [3] 8.5 km (4:21 / km)
shoes: Cumulus II

Everything's dried out a lot after the weekends good weather. Perfect consistency of mud at Hazlehead. Took it steady round the usual loop, speeding up a bit on the second half. Happy with how things went although still too mnay niggles.

Warm up/down 10:00 [3]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

Didn't get enough warm up really.

Orienteering race (MAROC Bellwood) 33:00 [4]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

I was awful especially to numbers 1 and 3 Just no concentration at all. One to forget.

K, who was just jogging after a week of illness, overtook me 2 mins at 1, unbelievably (given the nature of the control) and then caught me pretty much again at 3 after I'd steamed past on the way to 2. Rest I suppose were ok except for massive banana at 11. Nice to be out though. Not sure I've ever competed at Bell Wood before. Spring is truly sprung on Deeside.

Hamstring/sciatica thing is there but tolerable.
