Gentle sociable run in Banchory before circuits.

Gym 40:00 [3]
shoes: Reebok Premier RoadPlus

Once through the usual session, excluding the crunches as somehow I've picked up a slight side strain.

Some additional planks, then 10 mins of skate skiing to stress the knees a bit, then some additional stretching.

Orienteering race (MAROC Inver) 1:18:00 [4] 7.1 km (10:59 / km) +220m 9:31 / km
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

Nice bright day after all the rain.
Too far right at 2 (1 mins) , clean then through 10 although took a poor route to 7 toiling up the hill through the deep heather. Then proceeded to 12 instead of 11, which wouldn't have been too bad if I hadn't then been too low at 11 when I did go to it (lost 4 mins on the leg to Dixie/DG). back to 12 ok, then good direct route to 13, although a little right at the end. Missed 14 right and then couldn't make the contours fit at 16.

Maybe lost 8 mins but really enjoyed it -especially the views of Fearder and the Dee. Felt like a lot more than 220m climb though!

Orienteering 40:00 [3]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

Collecting controls up on the hill - part walking, part running.

Note

Another cracking MAROC event - with just 32 controls I think. Certainly wasn't particularly cold given that it's November. Good turnout of pushing 140 too. Not sure any event in the UK would top some of the views today. Running it again I'd avoid the open areas more, thus avoiding the highest of the heather.
