Trail / Terrain Run 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Trail Sensor(2)

Really nice run from the car park up via "the deer" gate to top of Scolty, down the back and then up again via one of the steep paths. Then a few lower loops on the forest tracks via the Duncans house and back.

All with C, longest run with him for a very long time, he proceeded to rather easily waste me on all the uphills. Maybe, just maybe, that is starting to finally look like a result. Crossing everything, hopefully thats a real lesson in persistence....

If you haven't been able to run for a decent length for 3+ years even though you've seen specialists in Oslo (National Stadium) , London (Olympic Centre), Glasgow (Hampden) and Aberdeen then you've a right to be a bit happy when you can run up Scolty a couple of times. Any juniors out there suffering from "growing pains" keep at it....!

Trail / Road Run 15:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Trail Sensor(2)

Really tired quads from swimming for some reason. Forced myself out at lunchtime for a small lap of local streets and paths - to at least turn the legs over. Followed it up with a good bout of stretching.

Dancing through the Hazlehead puddles.

Felt really good, maybe it's the Tulllie effect or the Mumbai belly effect..lose weight and start to fly. Pass the biscuits...

Road Running 28:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Cumulus

Didn't manage a run at the very wet MAROC junior training at Dess but did finally get out in the late afternoon darkness..around Banchory in the monsoon. Bit damp or what.? Actually felt surprisingly good so kept up a good tempo splashing through the rivers.
