Mtn Bike (Mt Keen from home) 6:30:00 [3] 94.0 km (4:09 / km)

With Tom from home (although he had already biked from Bieldside).
Glen O'Dee, Craiglash, down through Sluie, Potarch, south road to Bridge of Ess, Glen Tanar, Mt Keen, Glen Mark, Tarfside, Fungle, Forest of Birse, Finzean and home on the road.
Cloudless sky. Tough up the track on north side of Mt Keen and tough climbing out of Tarfside - nearly managed to cycle up to Fungle/Firmounth junction but 100m short. Great day.

Stopped off at Finzean farm shop for lemonade.

Finger trouble with the Garmin and only started it at Bridge of Ess.

Note
(rest day)

Thats the plan anyway.

just been looking at Scot Champs again...11-12. All power to those who recognised you didn't have to use the crossing point. I didn't spot it so went round. Not sure why you didn't have to though, as you did on all other "uncrossable" fences - including arguably the same fence between 14 and 15!

Warm up/down 10:00 [3]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

Pre handicap +9 relay. Tired!

Orienteering race (Scot Champs Relays) 50:00 [5] 5.2 km (9:37 / km)
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

3rd leg for MAROC.
Just as well Jon and Sarah set me up so I couldn't lose!

Great weather and an Eddie assembly special. Feet wet across the ford in first 100m. Confused by rides to no 1, so backed out and was sensible but lost lot of time. OK after that to 8 then couldn't see boulder field for looking - another 30s or so, then fine through spectator and 11. Then confused the rides again at 12 and promptly lost a load more. Then a big banana at 14 as I overtook GV on 2nd leg for MAROC second team. Still we won. Thanks J&S.

Tired before I started, tired after!

Warm up/down 10:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Trail Sensor

Very belated relay warm down...mid-evening with K up to Sunset Seat. Turned into a short section of burn-up. Probably not the wisest but good fun anyhow. Looks like the training partner is on the way back, fingers crossed.
