Warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

On way to start and roundabout.

Orienteering race 1:03:00 [5]
shoes: VJ Twister (2)

Really felt not good night before and even in the morning so wasn't convinced I should run, but since I was there and it wasn't too bad decided to give it a go with the intention of dropping out if I continued to feel rough.

Slow(ish) to 1, caught IM at 2, and clean through the tricky stuff to 3. Confused by green at 4 and lost 1m 30s ish. Went too high and then ran straight past 5 but didn't lose too much. Really felt heavy climbing the hill to 6 toiling behind IM who'd passed me again at 4. Chasing IM and JL round the hill to 7, overtaking them there. Went near 16 and 15 en route to 9 then fine through 10 and 11, missed seeing crossing for 12, slow to 13, then confused by veg at 14. Rest were clean but fast and furious.

Could have run 60 but no better. Still, pleased enough to be 5th behind JT (57), MD, DP and MS considering how I'd felt. I'm losing time on uphills though - the rest is ok!

Crumbs, felt so tired from the bike race yesterday but it was probably best to turn the legs over. Hazlehead and back.

Mtn Bike race (GRAMP Scolty Mtn Bike-O) 2:09:04 [4] 16.5 km (7:49 / km) +535m 6:44 / km

The Long course from Scolty Car Park.

Lots of single-track stuff which I wasn't too great at but good fun nonetheless. Good views in the pleasant weather.

Couple of poor route choices on my part - should never have gone over the top of Scolty to 13, and also a bit wary about coming off on some of the techy bits. Must have ended up doing about 25Km.

Early leading time was 1.55. (Forgot to start my Garmin).

Trail / Terrain Run 15:00 [3]

More comeback encouragement for K in Glen O'Dee.
